Turkey Flat Vineyards Shiraz 2020
A genuinely excellent wine. Immense in every way. Perfectly balanced and richly fruited. The wine has beautiful finesse throughout, really showing off its pedigree at every step. Blackberry, mulberry, raspberry - there is so much fruit complexity on show, as you would expect with a wine of this ilk. Complex and curious, let it breath and it will reveal more layers, more dimensions, more everything. Completely brilliant - no cellar is complete without it.

Cabernet Sauvignon 2020 – Black Market Deal #52066
It doesn't get better than this. This cracking Coonawarra cabernet from an old-school icon recently picked up a well deserved 95 points from the Halliday Wine Companion 2025. You would be hard-pressed to find a smarter deal this year.
The blackberry fruit concentration is immense and elevated by fine, dancing tannin. It wouldn't be Coonawarra without the marriage of mint and tobacco, rounding out mouth-feel and driving complexity. This is fantastic drinking now and will age gracefully for another decade.

Pikes 'Traditionale' Riesling 2023
This is a wine that commands a sensational moment, although the argument could be had that this wine is what makes those moments sensational. Lemon-lime pithiness, refreshing mineral core, and a humming note of white blossoms and jasmine sing a beautiful harmony. If you’re looking for the best riesling of Clare, notice us gently nudge this one your way.

Chardonnay 2023 – Black Market Deal #52490
This 96-point Yarra chardonnay from one of the region's best vineyards is given the white glove treatment in the winery. Fleshy stone fruit, white florals, hazelnut, spice, and sea spray mineral notes are all at play here, with crisp green apple and citrusy acid to hold it all together. Complex, layered and textural, the chalky finish is persistent and lingering.

Maverick Eden Regained Shiraz 2020
Ron Brown of Maverick Wines tends to 75 acres of vineyards spread across the Barossa and Eden Valley. Not any old vines- these are some of the oldest in the region, many hit their centenary long ago, some are even reaching into their second century having been planted in 1840. You should only have love and respect for vines like these, hence why it’s a natural choice to tend to the vineyards biodynamically. Everything is dry grown (meaning, the soils aren’t inundated with irrigated water), hand harvested, and lovingly reincarnated into some stunning wines. It’s no surprise that Ron was shortlisted for James Halliday’s Viticulturist of the Year Award.
