This 96-point Yarra chardonnay from one of the region's best vineyards is given the white glove treatment in the winery. Fleshy stone fruit, white florals, hazelnut, spice, and sea spray mineral notes are all at play here, with crisp green apple and citrusy acid to hold it all together. Complex, layered and textural, the chalky finish is persistent and lingering. Excellent on its own but a knockout with pesto pasta or grilled crispy-skin white fish.

Dense black fruits, herbaceous and spicy with a weighty, oak-supported backbone and soft tannins on the lingering finish. 15+ years of bottle age has brought a deep complexity and added all those wonderful tertiary notes that us aged-red-heads are constantly searching for. An early adopter of the screw-cap closure, this producer was looking firmly toward the future (even back in the early naughties), and the grace and elegance with which this wine has aged is a testament to that foresight. We're completely stoked with this drop. If it's not perfect, it's pretty bloody close.

Crafted from a vintage that will drink well young but also reward extended cellaring, allowing itself to reveal all of its potential and nuances. The perfect wine for a special occasion or dinner, or better yet, a treat for yourself.

If we’re honest, there’s not a single reason that we don’t love this winery. They’re far from being one-trick ponies (although everyone can find a favourite in their range). Whether it be sensational sparkling, succulent sauvignon blanc, perfect pinot noir, or shining chardonnay. This time, the spotlight is on the shiraz. Selected fruit, estate crafted, 100% french oak treatment through fermentation and 15 months maturation, before final barrel selection is undergone. No stone left unturned, no drop of wine slips by without quality assured. To simply say this overdelivers doesn’t do it justice: this excels in its own category and ones above.
