Quite simply, this is as good as it gets. When it comes to the judgement and rating of wine there is one voice - one endorsement - that rings a little louder and reverberates a little longer: James Halliday and the Halliday Wine Companion.

1x Cooper Burns Blood Valentine Shiraz 2013
Red — Shiraz
Barossa Valley — Australia
As a rule, depth of colour is usually a pretty good indication of depth of flavour. With that in mind, we'll let you know that you couldn't see through a glass of this with a torch and a telescope. Deep, inky, dark red with slight bricking, a lifted and inviting nose and an expansive palate with all the usual Barossan suspects in the fore. Black and red fruits, mocha, mint and touch of spice, all framed by some solid oak work and silky, fine tannins. Balanced, lengthy and all-round bloody delicious. There's about 15 million puns that this copywriter would love to make about this wine we can't fit them all in. Oh well, once this gets to your door you can think of your own and email them to us! As long as you drink the thing, that's what really matters here.
You’d pay $150 full price.

Tasting Notes
1x Yelland & Papps Single Vineyard Stone Well Syrah 2023
Red — Shiraz
Barossa — Australia
A single-vineyard stunner from our Mofos' most loved premium producer. Powerful, deft and delicate with a nod to "Rhôney" styles, there's still plenty of punch packed behind this instantly recognisable label. A wine designed to showcase what the Stone Well sub-region of Barossa is all about: Ripe black and red fruit, wild violets and savoury, spicy nuance. You can tell that some serious skill has been applied with some serious care here. There's an overt subtlety to every aspect of the fruits and aromas whilst a backbone of French oak and powdery tannin brings some up front grunt and build a lenghty back end. Thoroughly enjoyable as a youthful wine with undeniable aging potential. There's no way we're going to be able to hold on to this for 5 years... if you've got more patience than us, set a reminder for 2030 and give us a call, we can't wait to see what could be.
You’d pay $49 full price.

1x Mount Pleasant Wines Estate Shiraz 2018
Red — Shiraz
Hunter Valley — Australia
Not many wineries encompass the Aussie spirit quite like Mount Pleasant. Established by Maurice O'Shea in 1921, they are the definition of resilience, strong connection to the land and hard work. The Hunter Valley shines in 2018 and shiraz is the vehicle in which we can best enjoy this beautiful wine growing region. Perfectly balance and intense, this wine is dying for some BBQ meats, a big steak or a hearty stew and will drink amazingly now and into the future, just make sure you've got enough stashed away because when a great vintage like this rolls around, the wines always disappear — buy up.
You’d pay $32 full price.

1x Sidewood Estate Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Adelaide Hills — Australia
If we’re honest, there’s not a single reason that we don’t love this winery. They’re far from being one-trick ponies (although everyone can find a favourite in their range). Whether it be sensational sparkling, succulent sauvignon blanc, perfect pinot noir, or shining chardonnay. This time, the spotlight is on the shiraz. Selected fruit, estate crafted, 100% french oak treatment through fermentation and 15 months maturation, before final barrel selection is undergone. No stone left unturned, no drop of wine slips by without quality assured. To simply say this overdelivers doesn’t do it justice: this excels in its own category and ones above.
You’d pay $27 full price.

1x Reschke Vitulus Shiraz 2021
Red — Shiraz
Coonawarra — Australia
Coonawarra is an endless treasure trove, and we've just struck more gold. Shiraz at it's fresh, lively best. Abundantly fruited, smoooth drinking shiraz that's winning hearts. Reschke know their way around a good bottle of wine, and that doesn't just apply to their famed Coonawarra cabernets. Dark red fruits are complimented by red cherry, cranberry, with touches of allspice and pepper for a generous seasoning. It’s all you could ask for and more.
You’d pay $35 full price.
