1x Tomich Icon Q96 Chardonnay 2019
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
This is Tomich's icon chardonnay, the top-shelf gear, the good stuff. Only produced in exceptional vintages, each carefully selected fruit parcel is crafted in super small batches, before being patiently barrel aged and masterfully blended. The result is a full-bodied wine that despite a textured, weighted palate, finishes clean. Creamy and leesy with white stone fruit, butterscotch and that distinct 'struck match' note that the Hills does so well. There's something distinctly Burgundian about the whole thing, and we can say with absolute clarity, we are NOT complaining.
You’d pay $65 full price.

1x Atlas Wines Block 9 Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
A genuine Mofo favourite, this wine (and this producer) have become a beacon of consistency in a very unpredictable industry. Established in 2007, think of this winery as the cool, new kids on the block. What they don't have in age, they make up for in skill.
Welcome to one of our all-time favourite chardies. Crafted in small batches as they use only the most premium quality grapes, fruit for this particular chardonnay is sourced from the fantastic Woodside vineyard in Adelaide Hills. Balanced, bright and creamy, this lovely drop is a tropical bowl packed to the rim with melon, mango, peach and grapefruit. There’s a pillowy softness to the palate and a lively acid line that drives its long finish.
You’d pay $38 full price.

1x Russell & Suitor Ladera Chardonnay 2024
White — Chardonnay
Tasmania — Australia
Green apple, French oak and fresh cream on the nose, the palate opens up with white peach, melon and slightly bready notes. This wine has seen some malolactic fermentation and the richness, creaminess and texture created by this process allow natural acid, zesty citrus and oak-spice to really get to work. A very well-thought-out chardonnay that ticks all the boxes without breaking the bank. This is a smart pick up.
You’d pay $45 full price.

1x Moss Brothers Field of Dreams Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Margaret River — Australia
This is a great example of letting the grape variety shine and it took some real care in the vineyard and the winery to accomplish. Picked in the cool of the early morning hours then racked to tank with some solids added for fermentation. The juice is separated with the majority placed in French oak to ferment and the rest kept to committed to tank. Post fermentation, bâtonnage is introduced to bring an extra textural element and build flavour. The result is a quintessential Margaret River chardonnay with richness, complexity and a lengthy, but not flabby, finish.
You’d pay $40 full price.

1x Rob Dolan Wines Chardonnay 2023
White — Chardonnay
Victoria — Australia
Whether we’ll admit it or not, we all play favourites, and this chardonnay comes from one of our favourite wineries in the biz, Rob Dolan. It’s bursting with personality (much like the Rob himself). There’s a nice line of lemony citrus, hints of cashew and a sneaky oak backbone holding it all together. Pour us another glass and let's get settled in.
You’d pay $35 full price.

1x Hesketh Small Batch Lobethal Chardonnay 2022
White — Chardonnay
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Stylish stuff. The Adelaide Hills region is known for producing delicate styles of chardonnay that manage to be both textured and lean. A slight minerality and pronounced natural acid line bring a refreshing, lighter feel to an otherwise dense and complex wine. It's about balance, intensity, freshness and expression of site. Try this one with creamy pastas - trust us!
