This is fumé, which means that it sees a bit of oak influence. That time in timber adds a layer of complexity to the wine. This has an abundance of fruit: passionfruit, guava, and lychee with kiwi fruit acidity. Fumé SB has gone from an emerging style in the Aussie market to a fully fledged stayer, so expect to see more of it on the shelves at your local (and your favourite online retailer, too).

When we tasted this lovely spring-time white, our minds drifted to one place and one place only: a sunny picnic in the park. This fiano walks the line of green tropical fruits and preserved citrus, making it approachable on its own, or as the Italians would enjoy it - with food (we’re thinking seafood is called for).
