Why do we love this case?
Centuries of hard study and impossible calculations by boffins all over the world have gotten us no closer to figuring out whether we prefer gris or grigio. And you know what, we're happy sitting on the fence. In this case, you'll get to explore the wonders of both styles. It’s pretty much the best way to get around the grape.
2x Windowrie Estate Pig in the House Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Central Ranges — Australia
A bright, snappy gris. Fresh and lifted stone fruit aromatics leap out of the glass. The palate is quite soft and supple; apricot cream and lemon pith. There's a little bit of rocky minerality on offer, too. This is classic, generous pinot gris that remains true to style. An extremely versatile wine – it'll be just as comfortable next to a seafood feast as it will with a mid-week pizza on the couch.
You’d pay $28 full price.

2x Twin Valleys Pinot Gris 2024
White — Pinot Gris
Alpine Valleys — Australia
"Beautifully pitched" is a great description for this wine, if you're anything like us you'll be blown away by the complexity this drop offers. Fine boned and fresh pinot gris punching well above its price point.
You’d pay $35 full price.

2x Cloudbreak Nouveau Pinot Gris 2021
White — Pinot Gris
Adelaide Hills — Australia
This is a friendly bottle of pinot gris - that's definitely a good thing by the way. An incredibly inviting nose promises a delicate wine but one bursting with pear-like characters and zesty citrus notes. On the palate there's richer textural fruit and subtle spice. This was definitely one made for immediate consumption but again, in this case - that's definitely a good thing. It's not like we'd be able to keep our hands of it anyway.
You’d pay $25 full price.

Tasting Notes
2x Peter Drayton Anomaly Pinot Grigio 2024
White — Pinot Grigio
King Valley — Australia
Although Peter Drayton Wines is based in the Hunter Valley, the 'Anomaly' range explores alternative grape varieties and the regions in which they thrive. It follows naturally that they would decide to produce a pinot grigio from the home of the grape in Australia, the King Valley. Following an influx of Italian immigration to the area a generation or two ago, the King has become a haven for Italian native grapes, the soil, the climate and the local know-how are all expressed beautifully in this zippy, refreshing wine. Citrusy, zesty acid with lashings of under-ripe pear and crunchy green apple, the finish of this wine is lengthy yet refreshing, like apple sherbet. We're not suggesting that the Hunter isn't a good place to grow grigio, but we will say this, we're stoked that Drayton decided to grow this one in the King. Delicious.
You’d pay $30 full price.

2x Three Kings The Kings Creed Pinot Grigio 2024
White — Pinot Grigio
Adelaide Hills — Australia
Sometimes you just want the band to the play the classics. Well, this is very much a classic and you'll be singing along to every zesty word. Crisp, bright and fresh, the perfect wine to chuck in the fridge (or esky) at a moments notice! Everyone needs a wine like this in the rack, just in case right?
The altitude and climate of the Adelaide Hills lends its self perfectly to the production of crisp, fruit-driven, pinot grigio. There's a vibrancy and juiciness to the fruit that makes it feel like you're taking a bite from a freshly picked pear whilst the natural acid and minerality drive the palate forward and create a super-refreshing finish. Wonderfully balanced, beautifully poised and (hopefully) dutifully present, whenever you might need it.
You’d pay $25 full price.

2x Credaro Five Tales Pinot Grigio 2024
White — Pinot Grigio
Margaret River — Australia
From internationally renowned producer, Credaro, this bright and vivacious grigio is more than just a welcome guest at the party, it IS the party. Hot days and warm nights for call for good company, good food and a good bottle of grigio. A natural citrus-like acidity creates a launching point for a swirl of green fruits (think fresh apple and crunchy pear) and zesty minerality. Classically grigio in every way but extremely modern in its vibrancy and youthful flare. An extremely versatile wine that, as we said, is best enjoyed with friends and family, out of an esky, looking at a sunset but if we're being honest, it also works great at home and after sun-down. In the words of the immortal Shakira, "Wherever, whenever".
You’d pay $26 full price.
