Why do we love this wine?
It's not every day you have the opportunity to enjoy a wine with more going on in the glass. The complexity of fruit at the fore stands out immediately - dried berries and currants pressed into richer, riper, and (incredibly, given its nearly two decades cellar-time) fresher fruits. The gnarly earth and game aromatics chime in late as the wine is allowed to breathe, giving it a decadent and intriguing sense of decay. A magnificent wine that typifies why aged wines - and the pursuit of aged wines - is, for some, an obsession. An integral part of any cellar and a must have for any serious collector.
