Why do we love this wine?
A bit of age has given this wine some time to settle into itself, and the result is a beautifully balanced wine that still speaks to fresh, excellent quality fruit. The use of oak is present but never leading, giving the wine structure and shape but never letting it become overbearing. The tannin is in part ripe and in part dusty, making for a complex, varied drinking experience. This is Clare Valley shiraz doing what it does best: pure fruit expression without sacrificing oopmh or power in the process.
