A flagship McLaren Vale bruiser that still knows how to charm. This is one of the more impressive wines in the region, both in presentation and sheer quality. Ripe plum and black cherry meet dark chocolate, espresso and that hint of spice. Supple tannins, serious length, and the kind of depth that only comes with time in bottle.

Why do we love this wine?
We had to pul a few strings to get our hands on this one - trust us, wine of this quality very rarely makes it past the cellar door. It's the tip-top Shiraz from McLaren Vale royalty, gorgeously matured, just hitting its stride. All the top fruit from low-yielding vineyard sites across the district, blended, bottled and aged. Plum, black cherry and liquorice take the lead, backed by dark chocolate, notes of espresso, and fine oak spice. There’s a savoury edge too - black pepper, cedar, clove maybe? - giving shape to the lush, concentrated fruit. Tannins are silky and seamless, structure right on point, and the finish is long, rich, and complex. This is properly grown-up stuff. There's plenty of years ahead of this stunning drop, but drinking beautifully already. For this price? Silly not to.
