Why do we love this wine?
This Vickery riesling from Watervale is another standout example of what John Vickery can do with Australian Riesling. A blend of seven blocks from Watervale in the Clare Valley, this wine displays all the classic characteristics of the sub-region. As expected there's vibrant lime citrus and white floral perfume of jasmine on the nose. The equally vibrant palate is lively, with refreshingly crisp acidity, the kind of juicy limes you can only dream of, and of course that typical distinctive Watervale minerality, with a clean and lingering finish. Perfectly enjoyable on it's own or a match made in heaven with spicy dishes or fresh seafood.
